It requires minimal lifting to load and unload bikes and still provides access to the boot when the carrier is loaded. You can also choose to complement it with the lightweight Thule BackSpace cargo box, which allows you to convert the bike carrier into a cargo carrier. Another option is the Thule VeloSpace XT Bike Adapter (sold separately), which allows you to expand the load capacity to three bikes. When not in use, the Thule VeloSpace XT is fully foldable and can be stored in the boot.
